NOTES: This is the first time since the start of the three division era that the two LCS series have each matched the two best records in their league (96-66). Computer baseball sim Imagine Sports/Diamond Mind Baseball ran the 2007 ALCS 1,000 times, and the Red Sox won 59% of the time. If the Red Sox won game 1, they won the series 72.5% of the time, and if Cleveland won, the Indians won 59% of the time.
YA YA GG see you Monday.

DOUBLE PLAY!
Double play finally ends it.
GG see you Monday. Go Red SOx!
I think my blood pressure can return to normal now....
GO SECRET SERVICE
I fell asleep. I woke up this morning to see that the Tribe hung the Sox out to dry. Those extra inning post midnight games are difficult to stay awake for..
Big win for the Tribe. They could have very easily folded when the Sox went ahead but kept answering. On to der Jake. See you all on Monday.
Our offense went cold and the bottom of our pen was exposed and Schill is the reason we lost because he couldn’t give us 5 measly innings.
On the bright side, in 2004, we were at 0-2 right now, and we won anyway.
I think Schilling giving up the 3-run dinger to Jhonny (Mama Couldn’t Spell) Perralta was the pivot point in the game. A fly ball out at that moment would have been huge. Then again, the Sox battled back well against some pretty tough Cleveland pitching. And then...came Gagne. I turned to the wife at that moment and said, “Oh, bleep. You might as well turn the TV off right here.” She said, “Why, is he really bad?” I said, “Well, every third or fourth pitch he throws is a beauty, great stuff, really.” “The rest of them are like meatballs thrown to a pack of starving wolves.” She laughed, but I wasn’t smiling.
Have been to the Jake several times...one of the retired numbers is
455
The Fans
455 straight sellouts. Fenway will reach that number
(hopefully) sometime late in the 2008 season.
A fantastic venue
Breaking news: Steinbrenner is stepping down...
..and will be replaced by Steinbrenner Jr. and
Steinbrenner Jr....
>>According to a report in the New York Post, the “Boss” has handed over control of the New York Yankees to his sons Hank and Hal Steinbrenner as he faces up to declining health.
George Steinbrenner, 77, was seldom seen at Yankee Stadium this season, attending only three games as his health kept him away. The Post reported that the final details of the new arrangement are yet to be determined - something that will happen in meetings scheduled for Tampa, Florida next week - but Hank and Hal Steinbrenner are to take over the day-to-day running of the team.
Unlike the 2004 ALCS matchup, the 2007 Indians were not going to be recovering from any 0-2 start. Thankfully, the Tribe defense held until the Sox bullpen could be exploited.
Hopefully the three headed monster of Gag-me, Lester, or Lopez will not rear their ugly heads. As much as I am not a Tavarez fan I felt he should have been on the post-season roster, especially considering the alternatives.
Lester is a starting pitcher, not a reliever. He was also the last guy they had available after the other two clowns screwed the pooch.
Gagne is there til the end of the series and then if they make it he’s off the WS roster.
