I have a friend in Akron who’s really pulling for the Tribe.
They last won a world series a year before he was born. After the blowout last night I emailed him and I told him that
the Tribe did have some hope—Carmona could be strong,
and Wake and Dice-K could have some “bad innings” so
who knows...

But of course I’m cheering for the Sox

by the way I think yankee fans expect them to win all
the time so they’re really upset that it’s been SEVEN...
WHOLE...YEARS since they won it all. Don’t be upset—it
could be worse: I know of one team that has gone 99
years without a World Series Championship.

They got swept by the D-backs in this year’s first round...
