Then there was also Boston Shorty, the great pool hustler. He was the real deal, I saw him play a big $$ game in Kenmore Square many years ago.

The wall wasnt padded then. They installed the padding before the 1976 season.Suppose that's why they installed it. Lynn was the best center fielder I ever saw.

You still in the Boston area?

Papelbon poured a beer can (not sure if it was a Coors)
over the AL Championship trophy.
Ch 25 just talked to John Henry—sorry to say this but
does he kinda look like Harry Reid?
Kenmore Sq blocked off...you can’t get in there unless
you’re with Boston Police. A couple dozen arrests
To: WL-law
Fred Lynn and Cecil Cooper had the prettiest left handed swings I ever saw.

No, left 10 years ago, and never looked back. I miss the Red Sox and striper fishing — but everything else is better in Virginia.

Ortiz is addressing the crowd now. I can’t wait for him to say “Beisbol has been beery beery goot to me”.

Supposedly Kenmore Square has been roped off by the Boston Police. They fear that alcohol might be getting used in mass quantities.

do you remember that crazy batting stance of Phil Plantier?
To: warsaw44
I can’t picture it now. He did hit 30 homers for the Padres one year. I think he was from New Hampshire.

state has been losing population for 4 years now. We will end up with fewer seats in Congress at this rate which, considering what lunatics they elect around here isnt such a bad thing. Still, It greatly saddens me to see has happened to Massachusetts. It was once a grand state.
To: warsaw44
I remember Yaz’s hands held high stance and Dick McAuliffe’s wide open stance.

Plantier seemed to fade away without much fanfare after that one year, whatever happened to him?

The do-gooders are going to pee in their pants because the players are drinking and smoking cigars on TV. Oh the humanity.
