Carmona scares the heck out of me...much more than Sabathia...he can dominate in the way Beckett can. At this time last year, I thought I'd never hear those words spoken.

Only if you took too much from his closing appearances. He was great in setup duty. And he was young, so he had plenty of upside to build on.

10 pitches to Hafner. However, his other teammates have to follow suit to chase Beckett off early.

That's nice to know, even though I had no idea who that TBS promo guy was before this thread.
He's a very funny new comedian, IMHO.

The Sox have a high payroll but you can expect to see that come down. Also look at the fact that 2 infield starters are minor league developed, their closer and one set up guy are home grown and Ellsbury is also a farm system product. Lester, Gabbord (traded for Gag-Me) and Clay Buchholz gave them wins when Schilling and Wakefield got injured and Tavarez fell apart.
Buying players gets you JD Drew, Julio Lugo and Matt Clemment

Is Stephen King now like the Red Sox version of Jack Nicholson? Do they have to put him on camera every friggin’ game?

Stephen KingHe lives in Maine and goes to a lot of the games. The regular season TV guys leave him alone, but the Fox guys are in love with the fact that he is there. He is also easy to find -- right behind home plate.

Beckett is looking good, we were eating dinner and I have idea how we went from 1-1 to 4-1. what happened? How freaky is the fact I stopped to pick up some Silver Queen to go with our meal.
When I saw our local farmer planting corn in June I figured he was smoking crack, who knew I'd be eating corn in Connecticitct in mid October?
Go Sox!!!!!!!!!!!!!
