...and the do nothing part of the order is up.

Frustration will do that to a team. The guys that are hitting the ball well are hitting the ball right at someone or just missing a hit. The guys that aren’t hitting....still aren’t hitting (JD Cocolugo).

Beckett has to keep it up to overcome the Red Sox gremlins. Beckett will take care of business himself. He knows that all he has to do is pitch 4 more innings of scoreless ball and he has won his start. He's not counting on any help from the offense.

I would love to see becket pull it off.
Then
Credit an emotional surge to the bimbo anthem.
Thank the Indians for giving him a little emotional edge
in the postgame
I am picturing all this, to make it happen.
So everyone can stop worrying now.

I would love to see becket pull it off. Beckett is about as close to pulling this out as one can get. A dominant 6th.

Ugly, but we will take it.

run scores—Sizemore has ball go off his glove—he may have had it but checked to see if Gutierrez was going to get it

he came out of the game right then and there...was over
100 pitches—still was sharp last inning but that was vs.
the anemic bottom of the order. Now hits by Pedroia
and Youkilis have chased him.
