If Manny had run out that ball as though HE thought it was a home run, the umps may well have given it to him.

If Manny had run out that ball as though HE thought it was a home run, the umps may well have given it to him. Actually, Manny ran out the ball exactly the way he would have run it out (i.e., trotted) if he thought it was a home run.
To: andy58-in-nh
Huh? You got it backwards. They should always run hard but most players when they hit a home run will trot and if they think its in the yard they run hard to get to second base.
Plus, I'd hope they were watching the ball and not Manny.

Actually, that’s why I think it wasn’t a home run. At least Manny didn’t think it was.

Lowell foul...Lady luck is still with the Indians.
To: andy58-in-nh
What you said makes not sense. He wasn't running which would indicate he thought it was a home run.
Plus it matters not what Manny thought. It was a home run with absolutely no doubt. A ball off the wall can not bounce up. It is a physical impossibility.
