Francona argues...has to be careful he won’t get heaved out of game. It looks like umps say it’s a base hit not a HR
(and Manny stopped at first!

The umpires in this series have been about the worst I have seen all year. How can four umpires miss that ball hitting the top of the wall? If the ball bounces up it HAS to be on top of the wall. Off the wall it bounces down.

“David Ortiz scored from FIRST on that ball, and Manny
ENDS UP at first”
because manny is being manny...he was probably
celebrating his “HR”
There were cases where Barry Bonds hits a double—thinks
it’s a HR, goes into HR trot—then has to hustle to
make it into second
“How do you justify that?” (Manny not running!)

"and Manny stopped at first!"Manny being an ass.

It was a homer . . . not even a question. If it had hit the wall, it would've rebounded in a completely different direction. McCarver's retardation is almost mind-blowing in its breadth and depth, and Joe Buck is even stupider for following him wherever he leads.
If the Sox end up losing by one run, they was robbed.

I was about to point that out Youk should’ve taken that ouside pitch to right.
Cardinal rule number 11, hit the pitch to where it’s pitched.
BTW, Manny Ball is a HR ;it hit the top of the fence...must have been a backwards spin on that ball to pot back into the field.
The baseball gods are sure pulling for the Indians.
To: NeoCaveman
Because he doesn’t have healthy hamstrings or oblique muscles. He can’t run hard or be an aggressive baserunner or slide because he could reinjure himself.

It didn’t matter in the end since Lowell made the final out. That ball was out. Manny didn’t run all out but the umps missed that call.

You can see it disappear behind the yellow in the replay. It was out of the park.

How do you justify that? (Manny not running!) Because he hit a home run. There's no reason to bee-line to first base when you hit a home run.
To: Red Steel
If the ball lands in the park it is still in play
End of story
