Another two out hit. Wake has been doing his job with the no-no. We just need some offense.

He stinks....

He’s been listening to his agent and trying to air it out with full arm extension to hit 97mph. Problem is with his arm action people can see it coming. Gammons said back in college he hid the ball well and threw a devastating slider and good sinking fastball. I figure the Sox give him another year or two then burn him.

Crisp should have walked and instead had a strike 2 called. Wound up swinging at a ball off the plate for strike 3. He called a low outside pitch on Tek that had been a ball the previous pitch. Tek strikes out after having to hack at stuff off the plate. Dice-K meanwhile got screwed on some calls, got the benefot of a wide zone on others.

Terrible game.

If those goes to Game 7, I like our chances with Beckett and Wake out of the pen if DiceK struggles.

That was my point. It was not that the home plate umpire was not lousy to both teams, it was that he chose very key pitches to screw up when the Sox were at the plate and did not do the same, with one exception, to the Tribe. It happens. Wasn't on purpose.

Tonights' umpire is not great either, altough I would NEVER want to call balls and strikes with Wake on the mound.
