Some of those Yankee double headers used to pack the old stadium with nearly 80,000 fans. We lost most of them.

Those were great days. It was something of a tradition to have the Yankees in on the 4th of July for a double bill. Some of the biggest crowds in MLB history I believe were in Cleveland back then. And why not, when you could pay two or three bucks and see Bob Feller pitch to Mickey Mantle?

Oh what great memories of the Cleveland Indians in the 50’s and 60’s....

I was married on June 17,1961 a Saturday, Fathers Day was June 18th and the Indians and Yankees were scheduled to play and we told my dad during that spring that for Fathers Day we would take him to the game, NEVER thinking hey that is the day after our wedding!!! Well we kept our promise and I slept thru the whole game and my dad announced to everyone in hearing distance that we just got married the day before...what a roar of laughter as I was just waking up.....

still have that same guy after 46 years and still following our TRIBE....

Great exciting nail biting game...
Happy Fall everyone and good~nite ALL
