I will expect to see this resolution before they leave for Thanksgiving break. Followed by one for Christians and Christmas. Best not to leave out the Shinto, Buddhist, Baha'i, Hindu, pagan, Zoroastrian etc. etc. etc.....

RESOLUTION
Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan , the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal,
Chanukkah, the Jewish festival of rededication, also known as the festival of lights, and commending Muslims Jews in the United States and throughout the world for their faith.

Whereas since the terrorist attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001, threats and incidents of violence have been directed at law-abiding, patriotic Americans of African, Arab, and South Asian every descent, particularly members of the Islamic Judaic faith;

Whereas it is estimated that there are approximately 1,500,000,000 13,500,000 Muslims Jews worldwide;

Whereas RamadanChanukkah is the holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal for Muslims is the Jewish festival of rededication worldwide, and is the beginning of the Jewish Year 5768 9th month of the Muslim calendar year; and

Whereas the observance of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan Chanukkah, an eight day festival of prayers, praise and thanksgiving, beginning on the 25th day of the Jewish month of Kislev, which commences at dusk on September 13, 2007, and continues for one lunar month sunset December 4, 2007 to nightfall December 12, 2007 : Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That—
(1) during this time of conflict, in order to demonstrate solidarity with and support for members of the community of Islam
Judaism in the United States and throughout the world, the House of Representatives recognizes the Islamic Judaic faith as one of the great religions of the world; and
(2) in observance of and out of respect for the commencement of Ramadan , the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal
Chanukkah, the eight day fesitval of rededication, the House of Representatives acknowledges the onset of Ramadan Chanukkah and expresses its deepest respect to Muslims Jews

Whereas Christmas is a national holiday celebrated on December 25; and

Whereas the Framers intended that the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States would prohibit the establishment of religion, not prohibit any mention of religion or reference to God in civic dialog: Now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the House of Representatives--

(1) recognizes the importance of the symbols and traditions of Christmas;

(2) strongly disapproves of attempts to ban references to Christmas; and

(3) expresses support for the use of these symbols and traditions, for those who celebrate Christmas.

You left out the secular humanists! I have to say, I’d feel a lot safer if 100% of my neighbors were sechums rather than one Muslim family where the women wear burkas and the girls hajibs. Call me intolerant, but it just makes my blood run cold to see that.
