Questions are being raised over Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani's policy on terrorism, after a report revealed he has strong ties to two foreign investment consortia working to own or lease U.S. toll roads, including the Trans-Texas Corridor 35, which is identified as part of the I-35 "NAFTA Superhighway."

DALLAS (March 1, 2007) Bracewell & Giuliani LLP advised Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a Spanish transportation company, in its successful bid to develop State Highway 121 into a toll road through Collin and Denton counties.
The award to Cintra, approved by the Texas Transportation Commission, is the first privatization of a Texas toll road. Bracewell is acting as project counsel to Cintra with respect to the 50-year concession from the Texas Department of Transportation. Cintra will pay a $2.1 billion upfront and annual lease payments totaling $700 million. "Cintra was awarded this project because of its proven expertise and competitive proposal," said Thomas O. Moore, partner with Bracewell & Giuliani. "This is the largest transportation deal of 2007. This is one of only five deals in the country."
Three firms have competed for the Comprehensive Development Agreement for State Highway 121 since last summer. The proposals were reviewed and scored based on selection criteria set forth by the Regional Transportation Council, the metropolitan planning agency for the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
This CDA is a public-private partnership that allows the provider to handle all facets of developing the toll road, including completing construction and operating and maintaining the corridor. Cintra, a subsidiary of Grupo Ferrovial specialized in toll roads and car parks, is one of the world's leading private-sector developers of transport infrastructure. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1803916/posts

My gut has always told me to never trust Rudy. Don’t exactly know why.....just a gut feeling.
Just what we don’t need - another globalist.
Just another reason against voting for roooooty.Oh and some of the other rinos as well.
But...but...Rudy is the only one who can beat Hillary!
Golly-—I better write that down-—I keep forgetting. ROTFLMSO.
That is just peachy.
To the south of the United States are many people who want to take advantage of our market, say the politicians, but our politicians ignore the detriments and mayhem caused to innocent citizens which would come with open commerce with nations who will work and are working with the enemies of our Nation.
Undoubtedly I am in the minority, as far as the politicians are concerned. Building a means by which an enemy can further infiltrate this Nation is pure folly, in my opinion. I believe this superhighway should be placed on hold till the war is won. I do not believe this will happen (placing on hold the highway till the war is won) because the politicians only see dollar signs, and when politicians see dollar signs, innocence is lost.
If this highway is finished and comes into operation it will not be a means by which America will further a war effort but rather a means to defeat this nation. Politicians sometimes forget which side is important. For my family and me, our choice shall be America is more important. At this time many politicians have decided, the people are less important than a dollar to be made. And each of us knows a dollar is worthless, if America is defeated.
Our nation is under a death sentence from many who hold office at the Federal Level. With each passing day the enemy grows in strength. With the help of a superhighway, the enemy will have a means by which to continue on a path to destroy America. Our politicians have been shortsighted and have decided. I wonder what Former President Reagan would say and do, for this time. I do not believe, Former President Reagan would help the enemy, as some of the politicians in D.C. and some candidates running for the office of president are now doing, on both the left and the right. Former President Reagan was a gifted Man in both communication and his vision of all America could be. I miss him! But each of us have to move on....America must Win One for the Gipper and ourselves. For to not do such will mean the demise of that shinning city on the hill, the city the left and the rinos are working overtime to kill.
Guess that means rudy is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Saudis and the Ben laden family.
Rudy rents out his name to anybody.
Actually, Rudy is the only one who has demonstrated that he CAN'T beat Hillary! (Senate 2000)
Thanks for shining some light on this. I’ve known about it for quite some time. Maybe now it will become more of an issue.
“If you come here and you work hard and you happen to be in an undocumented status, you’re one of the people who we want in this city.” Rudy knows whats best for America.
Or does that only count if it is abortion, terrorist leaders, etc.?
No, I know it only depends who the candidate is.
Can’t wait for the Rudy backers to tell me again how strong he is on national security....
I keep asking the Rudy apologists what Rudy would he do different than President Bush in the WOT? I have yet to get an answer.
Expand sanctuary cities? That would help. /s
Encourage more illegal immigration by telling illegals that they are NOT really illegal? That would REALLY help. /s
Push for more gun control? No question how much that would help. /s
Sue more gun manufacturers? Everyone knows that US gun manufacturers are culpable for the WOT. /s
Allow gays to 'open serve' in our military? Nothing would boost military morale like this. /s
Place emergency command centers in the most likely targets (like he did in NY)? That sure worked before. /s
N-i-c-e take-----you noticed that one of the NASCO-US members listed is Lockheed-Martin---a Pentagon defense contractor.
The rest of the "members" have nothing whatsoever to do with defense.....that is to say---the "members" they chose to make public.
Could be they made a mistake letting us know Lockheed is on-board?
Also interesting is Giuliani's oil, gas, uranium, and nuclear-transport interests in Kazakhstan (a former Soviet state in Central Asia). Giuliani has two law offices in Kazakhstan (that took in $1.85 billion in January).
Giuliani recently held a campaign fund-raiser in Kazakhstan.
