Bottom of the 11th: Indians 2, Yankees 1 (PRONK'S WALK-OFF RBI DEFEATS EVIL EMPIRE IN GAME 2)

Another inning, another promising start for the Indians. Yankees pitcher Luis Vizcaino walked Kenny Lofton to start the inning. After twice failing to put down a sacrifice bunt, Franklin Gutierrez singled to left with Lofton stopping at second. Casey Blake then moved both runners up a base with a successful sacrifice bunt. The Yankees intentionally walked Grady Sizemore to load the bases with one out. With Asdrubal Cabrera at the plate, the Yankees brought their infield in, hoping to stop Lofton at third from scoring on a ground ball. Cabrera instead popped up a 2-2 pitch just in front of the plate that was caught by Shelley Duncan for the second out. Indians designated hitter Travis Hafner worked the count full and drove a fastball into right centerfield to score Lofton and win the game.

The Yanks were done in by the bugs! They were swarmin’ and crawlin’ all over. It was freakin’ disgusting. The eighth inning should’ve ended 1-0 Yanks, instead of all those flippin’ wild pitches bringing a man around the bases.

Game 1, TRIBE overpowers Yankees with their bats.

Game 2, TRIBE overpowers Yankees with their pitching.

Game 3, STAY TUNED!!!!!!

Blah, blah, blah.

Those were equal opportunity bugs floating around Fausto’s head while he whiffed A Rod in the 9th with a RISP.

Bottom line, Tribe was more focused while the bugs were swarming.

I think there should be an investigation! The bugs attacked Chamberlain worse after he was sprayed!

What was in that can of bug spray? Why would the Yankees even think to have bug spray? So, WHO provided them with that can of bug spray? Did Cleveland intentionally provide that can of bug ATTRACTANT to the Yankees?

America deserves answers to those questions!

Were those Canadian Soldiers really out last night? They’re awful critters, that’s for sure.

I think, as I told my pop last night, that the DEET sprayed on Chamberlain’s hat ended up on his fingers. Part of his windup ritual seems to be laying two fingers on the visor of his cap. Anyone who’s ever used Deep Woods Off knows that creepy, slippery feeling that DEET imparts.

Oh, I see by the above pic the Canadian Soldiers were sure out last night. They truly are awful. They actually clogged my husband’s car air filter one time. GO TRIBE!!!

Here's an interesting statistic: The Yankees are 8 for 66 in the Series so far. That's a .121 average.

But with Jake Westbrook expected to take the hill Sunday, I expect that number to . . . uh . . . drift higher.

At one point, countless hordes of the little insects had begun starting a civilization on the back of Chamberlain’s neck.

Yeah - even with the 2-0 lead, I’m pretty trepiditious (if that’s a word) about the whole thing; Spankee Stadium is the belly of the beast.
