Are they finally fessing up that the french king and the pope were nothing more than bank robbers? The Knights Templar were europe’s bankers for 200 years. They got rich by plundering under the temple mount(the 9 poor soldiers of christ were themselves bank robbers). The Knights Templar live on as the swiss bankers of today...they also came in at the battle of bannockburn in 1314 as the crucial relief force that carried the day for the scots, thus scotland became a free nation until 1700. Prince Henry of Portugal(the navigator)was also a grand master of the KT.

Henry was born in 1394, so was never a member of the KT.

The KT was already falling apart in Europe at the time of Bannockburn, so their presence at the battle in large numbers is probably a later addition to the legend.
