The implication seems to be that she uncovered corruption. But whose? Corruption on the part of the US Army? Or on the part of a US contracting firm? Or on the part of UN functionaries? Or on the part of some US ally? Or on the part of Afghanistani government functionaries?

Me too. A very bad feeling that she uncovered corruption that went right up the food chain.
