October 5, 2007 Qualifying

Commentary by JJ - Track
Fri, Oct 10, 2007:
- 3:30 pm: NHRA got the morning rounds of stock qualifying in before rain closed the track. Top Fuel/Funny Car/Top Fuel Harley/Pro Stock/ Round 1 qualifying is delayed. Air humidity has been rising all afternoon and is presently at 71%.
- 5:30 pm: Rain has let up and the NHRA Safety Safari is preparing the track to begin a delayed Round 1 of qualifying. Humidity has continued to climb and is currently at 83%.
- 7:30 pm: Friday's qualifying action has been cut to one pro qualifying session which has started. The missed rained-out session will not be made up.

Time: 7:30 pm ET
Temp: 74 F
Pressure: 30.25 - Rising
Wind: 5 MPH - Stable
Humidity: 91%
Dew Point: 70 F
- 9:30 pm: Rain has held off and qualifying times and speeds in Top Fuel and Pro Stock, but not Funny Car, were very good for weak track and air humidity quality. But the cool air has been a major redeeming factor. ## END
