In addition that this weekend is the last 2007 “Countdown to 4 Championship” race - - which after Sunday’s Final Eliminations the field of eight drivers eligible in each pro category for the Championship will be cut to 4 - - in Top Fuel (dragsters) the Torco Racing Fuels Nationals is also the final event that drivers can earn points to qualify for the 2007 Top Fuel Technicoat $100,000 Shootout. The top eight TF point earners after Final Eliminations this Sunday will advance to the Sat, October 27th Shootout - a special race-within-a-race - at the ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals, Oct. 25–28, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
