1974 - USC 55, Notre Dame 24 In one of the most notable comebacks in college football history, the 1974 Trojans erased a 24-point deficit to beat defending national champion Notre Dame, 55-24, in the Coliseum.
Jan. 2005 USC 55 vs. Oklahoma 19 --Last season, Matt Leinart and Southern California had to share the national championship. This year, they left no doubt who is No. 1.
1942 (NHL) Toronto Maple Leafs, blew 3-0 lead to lose to Detroit 4 games to 3.

Cosmic payback for 1986 World Series. “Watch him throw a wild pitch!” said a guest, and it went to heck from there.

"Two more minutes of suffering. Mamma mia!" cried out a commentator on TMC TV halfway into the stoppage time that saw France tie the score seconds before the clock was to run out.
;^)
Wasn’t it just last year that the Mets entered the playoffs with a very good team and with every expectation of winning, only to be destroyed in the first round? Help me out here, am I right about that, or am I mistaken?
What about the original comeback, Bobby Thompson and the NY Giants working their way back over the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1951, much to my father’s chagrin. The Dodgers were up 13.5 games on August 13th.
Additionally, 1998, Jets 40 - Dolphins 37, Jets were down 30-7 at the end of the 3rd quarter.
Oops, I can’t read. it’s already #6.
New York Yankees, 2004 ALCS
No question this was the ultimate. The miracle that turned the series around, according to Kevin Millar who was on the Sox team that year was when they started passing out Jack Daniels in the dugout during the games. After that they couldn’t lose !!!
2005 - UEFA Champions League Final -- Liverpool FC vs. AC Milan In one of the most shocking collapses in soccer history, AC Milan--who lead 3-nil at one point in the game--got tied by Liverpool FC in the span of eight minutes' play and Liverpool FC won on penalty kicks 3-2.
That game has got to be one of the greatest one team collapses I've ever seen in one game.
2007 Appalachian State 34, No. 5 Michigan 32
One more honorable mention — 1996 World Series. Defending champion Braves go up 2-0 on the road, then lose 4 straight to the Yankees (led by ex-Braves player & manager Joe Torre). Sigh. I still haven’t forgiven Bobby Cox for putting in Steve Avery to walk in the winning run...
