The ALDS offers us the Red Sox versus the Angels and the Cleveland Indians versus the New York Yankees.
Sox vs Angels open on Wednesday, October 3rd at Fenway, the Tribe vs Yanks opens at Jacobs Field on Thursday.
Best of 5 Series
The NLDS offers a mess
The Cubs-Confirmed Division
The Diamondbacks-Confirmed Playoff Spot
The Padres-Still Fighting
The Mets-Still Fighting
The Phillies-Still Fighting
Last day of the season and the series are not set. Maybe by mid-week they will have it straight.
Please spread the word as this will serve as the "Official" thread throughout the playoffs and into the World Series.
I believe the Rockies are in it as well.
GO ANGELS..!!!
Get ready for (hopefully) another few weeks of decreased productivity due to sleep deprivation in New England.
I say.....
GO SOX!!!
and whoever beats the Yankees!
Or anyplace else where Sox fans reside!!
My bad....I have them on the .txt file I used to create this and I couldn’t get the team logos to show up so in deleting the red “X”s I omitted them. Heck of a late season run no doubt.
Looks like it’s shapimg up to be a Tribe/Cubbies World Series!!!
Tribe has a good looking roster no doubt but I am not sold on the Cubs. However, in the NL they are what passes for a good team this year.
We all know FOX desperately wants another Red Sox-Yankees ALCS. There’s also no doubt they want the Cubbies to get at least that far as well but what is the best opponent for them in terms of a TV audience?
They were praying for a Sox-Cubbies WS in 2003 because “something would have to give”. That’d be the case if the Indians and Cubbies met for it all.
It will be a fun NLCS, but the beloved CUB isn't likely to make it past their first opponent. I hope they do, but I won't lose any sleep...much...sort of.
Pathetic.
Uber-pathetic.
12-5 since the 12th.
Arizona 8-7
SD 11-7
Colo 13-4
NY 6-11
Phil. 12-5
The Cubs will come in as the hottest, or one of the 2-3 hottest teams in the playoffs (depending on the results today/tomorrow/Tues/Wed with possible playoffs).
With Glavine pitching.....who could have thought it.
He was taken out in the 1st inning..... Has that ever happened in his entire glorious career?
Mets down 7-1 in the 2nd inning.
Phils up 1-0 in the 2nd inning.
Cubs/Sox/Yanks would be great although the Disney Angels offer a great market for them as well.
