I’m running vista ultimate and have had zero issues. Also, I back up my movies with no problems either. The only problems I know of other vista users were having are driver problems. But that is the hardware manufactures issues, not Microsoft. Regardless, they were all fixed.

Regardless, they were all fixed.I had driver problems using Vista with... MS hardware! While its true those have been fixed I still have connectivity issues I never had with XP.
Can't definitely say they're due to Vista but I have my suspicions.

Yea, but you're just one off. Sorry. When you have to worry about a LARGE company with legacy Win/Tel applications, and you have to worry about the cost to upgrade Vista with the cost to buy new hardware with the cost to rewrite the legacy apps, Linux/Java looks better and better. (At least with Linux/Java, you can keep the same hardware.) There is no guarantee with Vista's insane DRM that you will actually have the content that you plan to have.
