I asked at the Apple store and the associate said that there have been some complaints about the ability to process certain functions with the Mac. It’s more of an Intuit issue than a Mac issue. Besides, I don’t feel like speding so much on another license when I already have one.

I’m not a big fan of Quickbooks for Mac. Even version 2007 is feature scarce compared to the Windows version. Plus, it is among the least intuitive interfaces on what is indubitably an office necessity. Sometimes, I think accountants like to keep accounting software as difficult to use in order to justify their jobs. MYOB AccountEdge is no better in terms of interface, but in terms of functionality, I find AccountEdge to be more feature complete than Quickbooks.

But, I’m still waiting for the first truly Made for Mac, business accounting package... and I’ll probably be waiting until Apple gets tired of waiting for someone else to do it right and just do it themselves.
