Yup, me too. Was a closet Unix geek for years, whilst my workplace required that I use Windows.

I retired several years back. Ordered up a Mac. Haven’t looked back since, although I’ve kept an XP box in the house for “just in case”. Just upgraded to Intel based Macs, and have trashed the legacy XP box.

Was going to load Windows and Parallels on the newest OS X box, but found a reasonable Mac app that made the sole remaining Windows app redundant. I’ll probably order the Office for Mac ‘08 app when it ships, primarily for continuity, but that will be it. Bye bye, Mr Gates. It was real, but it wasn’t much fun . . . .

I switched to an Apple laptop last month after 20 years on PCs.

Still have some ‘learning curve’ to go thru but its such a relief to leave windows behind.
