Mountain Lion That Killed Horse Eludes Trappers

Jennifer Churchill, spokeswoman for the Division of Wildlife, said the mountain lion appears to have lost its fear of humans and is dangerous.

Wendy Keefover-Ring of Sinapu said the animal isn't to blame. She said the owner of the horse should not have left it out at night in a pasture in area inhabited by predators.

How dare you live on a planet with natural predators.

Nonetheless, anyone who wants to keep domestic critters
has to examine the order of battle and take steps to
minimize the threat of predators.

Supposedly, there aren’t, officially, any cougars or
mountain lions here in KS. It must be oversize bobcats
carrying off the goats.

You CAN’T blame the animal for doing what it is programmed to do, hunt. This is an unfortunate occurance but it’s the heirarchy of the animal kingdom. If they kill this animal I am going to be really pissed.
