Tommy Lee Jones also made a movie trashing the Border Patrol and siding with a Mexican illegal.
I met Tommy Lee years ago and thought he was a good guy, but I was wrong big time.

TLJ is a huge disappointment. I understand that he has a gigantic chip on his shoulder and is spoiling for a fight (something along the lines of “I dare anyone to tell me to my face that I’m not patriotic!”).
I enjoyed his work in the past, but it won’t hurt my feelings a bit to never go see another movie that he is associated with.

He also starred in a movie about Vietnam and how the Viet Cong were the good but misunderstood guys and how we were the violent, bad guys. I can’t remember the name of it....awful though.

'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada' The movie you're referring to wasn't that simple. The Border Patrol agent ends up being sympathetic at the end. It was a nice piece of Southern Gothic that some people compared to a Faulkner short story.
