San Diego (1-0) @ New England (1-0) - 8:15 PM [Sheridan's Line - Patriots by 4]
San Diego beat the Bears last week in what could very well be a preview of Super Bowl XLII. The Chargers defense was superb, holding the Bears to three points, and recording three sacks, one INT, and three forced fumbles. QB Philip Rivers turned in a mediocre performance, but that's acceptable when facing a top-notch defense in Week One. The Patriots humiliated the Jets in East Rutherford last week (although the joke might turn out to be on them). QB Tom Brady completed 22 out of 28 passes for almost 300 yards and three TDs. WR Randy Moss caught nine passes for 183 yards and a TD. LB Mike Vrabel had seven tackles and two-and-a-half sacks. This matchup between the Chargers and the Patriots is, without question, the game of the week. It would be difficult to imagine either of these teams not making the playoffs this season. In a close call, I gotta go with the home team on Sunday night.

Only because it is at Detroit.
hmmmm. Could get interesting with all the distractions this week with allegations of Pats cheating by video-taping play calls and signals.
Colts over Titans...... WOO-WHO !!!!
Love football, love my Colts !!!!!
Broncos over Raiders!!
Appalachian State over the Lions
Yeah, it could and I liked this cartoon:
Cheer Up Jets Fans...there are still 2 wild card berths available....
Is the guy from Philly? I would hope so because his pick of them by 15 last week against the Pack was utterly moronic. His argument for the Giants this week is the same.
You can probably guess who I like.
We will see what New England can do without cheating.
Bears D is better overall than the Pats but the Pats’ offense blows out the Bears in a huge way. Belichick is the best at messing with the opposing QB’s head so the game becomes one dimensionsal. Pats lacking Seymour and Harrison so that’s a problem. Pats beat SD with no receivers last year and this come back with 3 upgrades.
LT still wants to continue with “disrespect” talk from last year.
How do you know this will stop them?
Don’t matter. All the MSM goofs picked em’. No wonder. They have that pillar quarterback. Who knows how long they have been cheatin’. Their Cheatin’ Hearts. But.....they are heros...got it? so get used to it. Cheatin’ ain’t no big deal in the USA anymore.
BTW the 'bank' I am speaking of... is at Fisherman's Point on Richland-Chambers Lake where I fish off the bank for Texas sized catfish, sandbass and crappie!
Back to the picks... I see the Pack making Brett a new record holder by beating the Giants!
The Deadskins will win and put another nail in McNabb's Iggles comeback.
My 'Boys will take the Dolphins with Romo tossing three TDs and finally putting on a ballcap with the bill forward!
The Bengals will take the Browns and put the Cowboys one game closer to the 1st Pick in next year's draft!
Finally, Allegra will drink up all the booze in Baghdad as the Texans defeat the Panthers to go 2-0!
Now, for the hard part... getting His undivided attention to make all this come true!
How 'bout them Cowboys!
Gadzooks, Jones! Strange, your FR Homepage... flies a Lone Star Banner!
What are you... a damned Yankee that came down to visit God's Country and stayed?
If so... No steak or beer for you!
Really, Bender! I think xJones... is kinda cute!
You would... Bitch!
I was born and raised in Texas, and like any God-fearing Southern Baptist I can't stand that Arkansas goober, Jerry Jones, that had the gall to fire Tom Landry without even telling him! If YOU were a Texan, you'd know that meant.
No.
The Lions didn’t face a Minnesota caliber defense when they played Chokeland.
It will be a battle of turnovers and the Minnesota defense will be the determining factor in this game.
Vikings by 6.
