I'd be interested to see what the temps on the back of a machine like this would be if it were running the Barcelona chips... AnandTech did some power consumption testing in their Barcelona review. They didn't get to keep the systems for real long, but it seems to indicate that they do much better than Intel on that front.

...but it seems to indicate that they do much better than Intel on that front. Well, given that the 83xx series only uses 75W, while the Intel quad-cores use 120W, An equivalent machine (63 Barcelona noes vs. 126 Intel nodes) should run a LOT cooler.
