Even better and less use of chemicals. Get a sprayer bottle and mix about 1 part regular dish soap to 10 parts water. stir gently. Spray directly on ants. They crawl about 1/2 inch and die. Then just wipe clean.

Or you can use an aerosol can and a lighter to make a flamethrower. If you do it for long enough there isn't anything left to wipe up.

You could just get a can of ether and put it in the microwave with the ants but that's just overkill.
