*** I just watched the Superbowl on NFL Channel. Rex threw a pick for a touchdown and singlehandedly turned a 2nd and 1 into 4th and 20 something by falling down and fumbling. I think the score would have been exactly the same no matter who played on your D *****
Three things killed Da Bears.
- Rex GROSSman
- Rex GROSSman
- Rex GROSSman
- Rex GROSSman
And... - Rex GROSSman
Oops that's 5 things.
'Series', Having Tommy Harris and Mike Brown out hurt more than anything.
THEN that bonehead Ron Rivera and his version of the Cover 2 was 100% FUBAR. Lastly - GROSSman.
Back in the 'olden days' Da Bears had a QB named Jack Concannon who was laughed off Da Bears pretty much for one messed up snap (it went over his head) - which made blooper highlights for years. YET &*#%%^$* GROSSman is still here - go figure.
An aside, back in the 1990's Jack hung out at the same Lounge I did in Arlington Heights. A very nice guy, drank a little too much maybe (guess we all did there). He's dead now. Died at 62.

As a Seahawks fan I am all too familiar with my team sticking with the wrong QB for too long (Rick Mier).
On one hand the Bears did make the SB, on the other the D and Special Teams won quite a few games for them. While I didn't watch too many Bears games, the ones I saw Rex looked like crap and the SB was a huge melt down.
Rex is bad and he isn't going to get any better.

Keep in mind, that was Grossman’s first complete year as a starter.
Where was Peyton Manning after his first year as a starter?
