Indeed, it worked well. Somewhere along the line, we got 'liberated' - even in the age of time-saving devices, fathers now are away from their family longer and mothers work more.

Children, then in their future, can wonder how they grew up by plugging into dozens of games for their fingers, hundreds of tunes for their ears, puzzled what marriage was for and wonder how people described things without the "F" bomb.

Yes. This is what you get when we sacrifice our ideals in order to “live better”. All you get in the end is just lotsa stuff and no real life.
