It has everything to do with the owner. They train Pit Bulls to be mean (you can do that with any dog if you abuse them) because they have jaws that lock down making it a brutal fight to the death.
My sister has a female pit bull that she literally took in as a stray and that dog won’t bite anything, animal or human. Very loving dog, she loves to fetch the paper.
