FWIW, I don’t know of anybody that’s had even close to a “good” experience with Vista.

Methinks copies of XP will be for sale for a long time :)

Been on every Windows Microsoft OS, since 3.1. I'm a power user techie dork. Vista is far and away the best OS I've ever used.

Sorry, hit the Post button too soon.

Small to medium businesses I am familiar with are avoiding Vista. One I know of went to a Linux solution. Another switched to Mac.

In both cases the decision makers told me they were tired of Microsoft’s arrogant attitude and software that was buggy and bloated. They also said their users complained about the Vista learning curve and the corresponding decrease in productivity. They were particularly upset that Microsoft chose to take XP features and move them around in Vista for seemingly no good reason.

I pointed out that Linux and Mac also have learning curves. Their response was, “Yes, that’s true but we believe in the long run overall productivity will increase.” (Paraphrased.)

I have a machine with Vista Home Premium on it and I have so far been 100% satisfied and have had no issues of any kind.

Infact, so far I like it better than XP on virtually all matters.

Now you can change the above in future posts to, "Other than 1 idiot, I don't know..."
