Mitt Romney wants partnership with Red China!

Posted on 08/29/2007 5:09:04 PM PDT by Sun

Yesterday I heard Laura Ingraham interview Mitt Romney, and Romney said that we need a partnership with China. This is the 2nd time I heard Romney say that on Ingraham's show, so he is quite adamant about it.

We already have an approximately $275 BILLION trade deficit with Red China each year, so what more does Romney want? He just doesn’t get it.

I wonder how many Freepers have actually been to China? I have. It’s a work in progress with many signs of growing freedom. (And, of course, many signs of the old totalitarian ways as well.)

But I’ll tell you something: If I had to choose, I’d rather live and work in China than in France, England, or several other European countries any day!

Have you ever been to the part of Red China where they have prisons underneath hospitals, so they can use the prisoners for body parts?

“Taiwan people urged not to go to China for transplants
2006/10/15
TAIPEI, CNA

SNIP

Explaining Taiwan’s existing laws regulating citizens receiving organ transplants in China, Chou warned that it is possible for them to be charged with murder, or complicity in murder, if it is discovered that their organ transplants had been the cause of an individual’s execution or murder. Echoing Chou’s remarks, Chen urged Taiwanese patients to be very cautious in receiving organ transplants in China, otherwise they might be “killing another person in order to save their own lives without even knowing it.”’

No. Have you ever been to the part of China where people speak out against that type of outrage?

The kind of horror you describe was once part of every day life. The kind of resistance and reason I describe has begun to emerge over the past 20-25 years.

Moreover, while I can’t claim the thing you describe does not exist, I do not believe every claim made by Chen Shui Bien.

And, your link goes to a blank page. I tried to search for the article but could not find it.

Because a part of Red China speaks out against killing prisoners for body parts, you find that acceptable????

I’m afraid you’re just looking for excuses for Red China. Perahps you’re a businessperson, but if that’s the case, please don’t be blinded by $$. America’s security comes first.

I’m sorry the link I provided didn’t work; maybe it’s temporarily down, or maybe it timed out. And PLEASE don’t act as if that is the only source reporting Red China abuses. Do some RESEARCH, and you will find mega sources.

America’s security FIRST:

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20070307-104921-2524r.htm

Gen. Pace said the U.S. military must budget and develop forces to fight the war on terror and deal with any “potential adversaries” such as China.

“We need to make sure that the United States military’s capable of handling any threat that might develop, without regard to current intent,” Gen. Pace said.

Did I say it was acceptable? The Chinese deny that this occurs, but I’m not so naive as to believe them either. What I’m saying is that China has traveled a long way down the road to freedom.

We’ve had terrible terrible outrages in this country, too, many within just the last 50 years. No, I’m not claiming any moral relativity. Just saying that neither America’s nor China’s progress should be measured on the basis of its worst deeds.

“China doesn’t want to bury us. They want to see us succeed and thrive so we can buy more Chinese products,” And this man wants to be president?

I get it. You don’t love the United States.

Maybe you’re from Red China.

Adios, and don’t bother wasting my time any more.

Mitt Romney is terribly naive and liberal.

Here’s a quote from Romney: “the first thing I’d like them (illegals) to do is to register, so I know how many there are, and what their circumstances are. And on that basis, we can see who would receive temporary employment visas and who would instead be required to return home,” – Mitt Romney, March 2007 – SF Chronicle

Ain’t China grand:

“278 Cities Suffer Untreated Sewage
China Daily ^ | August 30, 2007 | By Xin Dingding

Posted on 08/31/2007 8:42:04 PM PDT by JACKRUSSELL

More than half of the population is living in an environment where sewage is not treated, an expert said.

By the end of 2005, 278 cities across the country had no sewage treatment facilities, including eight with a population of more than 500,000, Zhao Baojiang, chairman of the China association of city planning, told a recent conference on sustainable sanitation held in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

About 5,000 administrative towns and 20,000 market towns also had no sewage treatment facilities, he was quoted as saying by www.xinhuanet.com.

Water pollution is deteriorating, but orders of the State Environmental Protection Administration to reduce the pollution are being disregarded in some cities, Zhao said.”

excerpt http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1889724/posts

And does anybody want to know how this affects us? Shrimp that Red China sells to us was raised in their sewage water, and finally was banned from being sold to our country.

I saw some shrimp from China myself months ago at the Supermarket, and, of course didn’t buy it, and I notified the Supermarket, and they stopped selling it (not necessarily because of me, but I’m glad they did).

Sometimes I wonder if people like you really think China is an enemy or wish it will be one.

“Sometimes I wonder if people like you really think China is an enemy or wish it will be one.”

Do some RESEARCH on Communist China, and then get back to me.

It means “hey look, I’m no Ronald Reagan, and will not sell the idea of overwhelming military advantage to the American people.” Sadly, in that respect, he’s no different from the current President, who, while doing OK on the WOT, has certainly not turned around the disasterous draw down 1988 - present.

I agree, and I’m looking for someone WAY MORE conservative than President Bush, not less.

We need another Ronald Reagan conservative before it’s too late.
