Nobody in Hollywood has had an original thought since...well, since ever.

Original ideas don’t always take off. But Hollywood at times can be very successful at blending several things together to form a new whole. The Matrix, Star Wars, the Kill Bill movies and The Big Lebowski are all examples of them taking ideas that have been around and combining them into interesting wholes.

And despite the popular notion that the book is always better than the movie, there are examples of that not being true as well. The Godfather movie is much much better than the book. I also like Fight Club better in movie form, and the author has said at the very least he likes the ending to the movie better than his.
