So I just spoke to Paul von Z. at the Times again. He's writing a pre-hearing. He asked what I thought we'd learned from the hearings so far, and I said we were learning the truth.

I said I got involved in all this because Tim McGirk and John Murtha clearly weren't telling the truth--and now (through these hearings) we're finding out just how far from reality they were.

I may (like last time) get left on the NY Times' cutting room floor (fine by me). But I tried to get in some licks at McMurtha. We'll see if any of it gets used!

Great job, Red! Paul von Z wrote a pretty good article about the defense fund sites. I was hoping he’d follow it up with an investigation into how much the NCIS and prosecution have spent as a comparison. But, not yet. So we should excpect an article in the NY Times by Wednesday or Thursday at the latest.
