WTKK 96.9FM has been in its own frustrating morning limbo since Don Imus got tossed off the air five months ago. The FM talker still cant put a claim on Howie Carr as its new morning guy until his legal woes with WRKO get cleared up, however, the station will have a new overnight personality come September 10th. Phil Hendries syndicated show gets installed in stations overnight schedule. About a year and a half ago, Hendrie left his national radio show syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, to star in the NBC sitcom Teachers. He also starred in the Fox/CBS pilot The Giants of Radio. But he returned to radio in late June with a new syndicator -Central Point, ORs Talk Radio Network - which also syndicates Michael Savage(WRKO), Jerry Doyle(WRKO), Laura Ingraham(WTKK). Hendries show will air from 1am to 4am on WTKK-FM
Howie Carr Show ping; who knows, you may find it interesting if you're up 1-4 am.
He is a really great voice performer! I used to have to stop driving, he made me laugh so hard. Played the busybodies who called in to his show like a drum!
phil was phunny

Boston talk radio fans:
alert...Morgan White Jr will talk to Gene Burns just after the midnight hour tonight (Sat going into Sunday)
and tomorrow night from 10 pm to midnight he will have Don Kent and Dave Maynard on...WBZ 1030.
can only take him in small doses, but the guy can be awful funny!
This youtube video is basically audio clips of his “first
show back”. The comments are mostly ANTI-the new show...
we’ll see...

Phil rocks.
I wish he wasback on down here in NC
My favorite is the kid who goes to the military school.
That is funny stuff
Also, the Ted’s of Beverly Hills.
What was his shtick?
The first few times I heard Phil Hendrie, I just thought he went and found some nutjobs for staged interviews. It took me a while to catch on that HE was doing all the voices. His character “Bobbie” used to attract a lot of angry callers!
Don’t forget the crying guy and Mr. “I’m a gay man and a gay journalist”.
Love that.
I love the kid from the military school.
“I will fight for two words: Poon Tang!”
Phil Hendrie debuted on WTKK last night; he has described himself as a Democrat who isn’t all that fond
of today’s Dem politicians. Hendrie’s first bit was a mixture of a Brittney Spears song with some
of the air traffic controller conversations with Flight 93 on 9/11/01 (at one point, Cleveland Control
keeps trying to reach the pilots on the flight who had said that someone claimed to have a bomb
on board; they’re unsuccessful...by this time the plane had probably gone down in Shanksville, PA)
The message? Maybe “here we have Young Hollywood, celebutards, partying it up and 9/11 is just
an annoying thing from the past—oh yuk, they’re bringing it up again. Why can’t we just party, like,
y’know?” Then Hendrie had a segment where he talked to Bobbie Dooley and her husband Steve
who have protested against the war for years but were really upset at some of the peace protesters
who were interrupting Petreus at the Capitol...Bobbie said she was so upset at THAT that she turned
around and was now supporting the war.
Oh, for those not familiar with Hendrie, he (and maybe one other person) does all the voices. His
own...the “guests”...callers. It’s all a talk show spoof but has a point. It’s satire—which is not
just cheap laughs but humor with a point to get across.

Is he on the Right? Not totally. According to Wikipedia: “Hendrie is also adamantly pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, and pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants. At the same time, he is extremely supportive of the Iraq War as well as the War on Terror”
Hendrie was also the voice of I.N.T.E.L.L.I.G.E.N.C.E in “Team America.”
Hey, phil's still funny
for about a week.
Hey, phil's still funny
for about a week.
Yup! Saw that.
Whether or not he proves to be funny it’ll be something worth listening to at that hour. Leveille on WBZ’s OK sometimes,
and there’s Coast to Coast with Noory, but I can’t see
myself getting into either of those two shows. Hendrie,
though, makes it interesting.
