I agree with the president of Atlanta's NAACP. The NFL should welcome Michael Vick back to its league once he has finished serving jail time for his involvement in dog fighting.
"As a society, we should aid in (Vick's) rehabilitation and welcome a new Michael Vick back into the community without a permanent loss of his career in football," R.L. White said on Wednesday. "We further ask the NFL, Falcons and the sponsors not to permanently ban Mr. Vick from his ability to bring hours of enjoyment to fans all over this country

Only if he survived the labotamy.
If he pays his debt to society, he should get his chance.
I agree with what Rush said. He better do his time in silence, or he will never play again.
The NFL may welcome him back, but I'm not convinced any team will want a mediocre QB with that much baggage.
You mean like the Duke Lacrosse players deserved redemption, eh guys?
The Dolphins, or whatever team Herm Edwards is coaching will.
A 30 year old mediocre QB with baggage, no less.
Let’s put it this way: Joey Harrington has a higher passer rating than Michael Vick.
I don’t remember what Jason’s stand on the Lax team was.
If he plays again, there will be PETA and other outraged Americans protesting this sadist.
The Dolphins will have no part of Michael Vick, I assure you. What will he do, play QB? John Beck will be the QB when Vick gets out. Will Vick play WR? The WR corps will be full and then some. Will he do kick and punt returns? Already have Ted Ginn for that.
We already kicked out Marcus, and Michael isn’t welcome either.
I would not have ever abused the chickens I used to raise and KILL and EAT, the way he abused his dogs.
Screw him royally.
He should have to cross a gaunlet of hungry PMS pitbulls on the day of his release. If he survives that then he can negotiate. We could all bet if he could make it.
The only reason I said the Dolphins was that the fins took a chance on Lawrence Phillips, and eventually cut him.
Forget about innocent until proven guilty.
We’ve already moved on to redeemed before convicted.
Whitlock’s comments on Jesse and Al and the Duke case:
“Jesse Jackson today, right now, should be down at Duke apologizing to those players rather than trying to turn these basketball players into the ultimate victims.”
“He owes the people down at Duke an apology for going and stirring in that mess and dividing people and dividing the nation.”
“They [Sharpton, Jackson] are terrorists; they go around this country starting fires.”

Tell me something,if this was a couple years ago and Vick was a medical doctor in the off season, (I know it’s only make believe), and not just any doctor but an abortion doctor who performed late term\partial birth abortions, would we be saying he’s going to jail for killing dogs, but getting rich for killing babies ???
I think what he did was wrong and that he’s getting off easy on a conspiracy plea instead of “conducting a criminal enterprise” or actually “animal fighting”, eventhough I have problems with a federal animal fighting statue.
Nah. The dude is way too twisted.
