A court in Mexico last month dismissed charges against Chapman and two associates, Tim Chapman and son Leland Chapman, in connection with the bounty hunter’s capture of now-convicted rapist and Max Factor heir Andrew Luster. However, on Thursday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barry Kurren left the bond in effect...

Chapman and his wife issued a statement yesterday saying they were “devastated” by Kurren’s decision, despite Mexico’s full dismissal of charges.

“This is unacceptable,” Beth Chapman said. “We are enlisting our fans and supporters to protest this action by our own government by calling and writing the Judge, Barry Kurren, and Attorney Ronald Johnson...”

They need to do away with the bond. And this guy needs to clean himself up. Why do they have to hang fishing lures and other sh*t on their hair? It looks absurd. I saw a picture of Keith Richards recently and noticed the same thing.

If I were a cop on my beat and saw “Dog” walking down the street in my town I’d find some reason to arrest him.

We need to pressure the U.S Magistrate to drop the bond. What's Dog's crime? Bringing a fugitive to justice? He should be given a medal, not treated like an outlaw!

I saw him on Glenn Beck tonight and could not make sense of this.

I wonder if the US is going ahead with prosecution because he broke a law regardless of where in the world he did it.

Can (the US) they say prosecute someone on murder charges against an American citizen who murders in another country even if that country does not prosecute the American.

Dog even said in his last interview with Bethie when on LKIng that Mexican authorities have invited him back if he ever is on the hunt again just so long as he contacts them and allows their govt to apprehend the guy.

I didn’t know untill Dog mentioned it that Bounty Hunting is illegal in Oregon but you can make a citizens arrest. What is the diff? Then money a bounty hunter makes?

It seems our Justice department is in the tank for Mexico if their nationals break our law we won’t prosecute,if our law enforcement personnel enforce the law they are prosecuted,if you break Mexican law the U.S. Government will help prosecute you never mind that Mexico will do nothing against any fugitive who makes it back home after committing any heinous crime.
We need to really push for people who will put America first it an “R” after a name is no longer enough.
