Prince Charles thought of his sons, first. When Prince Charles learned that there was a terrible accident, his first thought was no matter what her condition, no matter how difficult her medical circumstances would be, he would see to it that the mother of the future king of England would be well taken care of.
Unfortunately, he was never given that opportunity.
