It was meant to be serious. My wife is a serious Diana buff who followed Diana’s every move. If Diana started wearing burkas, I bet my wife would have taken the hint. And I know there are more like her.

The timing of her death was very suspicious. It always struck me as a type of hit. At the time, I thought it was Charles getting revenge. It might have been that, but I also think the French would have had to be in on the conspiracy in a big way. And I can’t think of any other reason they would cooperate.
