you'll see several bills from the 109th Congress, including this one:
5. H.AMDT.576 to H.R.3402 Amendment requires the Attorney General to establish the United States-Mexico Border Violence Task Force in Laredo, Texas, to combat drug trafficking, violence, and kidnapping along the border between the United States and Mexico and to provide expertise to the law enforcement and homeland security agencies along the border between the United States and Mexico. These amendments were passed, and so was the bill [H.R. 3402 became Public Law No: 109-162 ] and so were appropriations (money funding it) made....in December 2005.Sponsor: Rep Cuellar, Henry [TX-28] (introduced
9/28/2005) Cosponsors (None)Latest Major Action: 9/28/2005 House amendment agreed to. Status: On agreeing to the Cuellar amendment (A003) Agreed to by voice vote.
6. H.AMDT.577 to H.R.3402 Amendment requires the Attorney General to establish a National Gang Intelligence Center and gang information database to be housed at and administered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to collect, analyze, and disseminate gang activity information.

Agreed to by voice vote.
There's also this one:
H.AMDT.996 to H.R.5522 An amendment numbered 3 printed in the Congressional Record to add a new section providing for a limitation on international narcotics control and law enforcement assistance for Mexico to not more than $39 million.I'm not sure what the status is on the BILL, though the amendment was approved.....it looks like this particular bill was put aside for now...but I believe something like it may have already been approved in a different bill under the current congress.....I'll have to check that out next week....but, this'll get you started in case someone is interested in doing some digging before then.Sponsor: Rep Brown-Waite, Ginny [FL-5] (introduced 6/9/2006) Cosponsors (None)
Latest Major Action: 6/9/2006 House amendment agreed to. Status: On agreeing to the Brown-Waite, Ginny amendment (A012) Agreed to by voice vote.
If you go to the Thomas.gov site, and use the keyword "Mexico" as a search word, you'll get dozens, if not hundreds, of hits in our Congress....though some would return for "New Mexico", many bills are related to bills having to do with Mexico and appropriating U.S. taxpayer dollars to funding infrastructure in Mexico, military personnel, in Mexico, education for Mexicans, counseling for battered "immigrant" women, etc.
Why U.S. taxpayer dollars are being sent out to Mexico, for the benefit of Mexicans, is beyond me. Why they are setting aside U.S. taxpayer dollars for programs which benefit illegals in America is also beyond me.
It all fits the SPP/NAU template. And voice votes hide many sins, including treason.
Looks like we have also ID'd a few more Washington traitors: Cuellar and Brown-Waite.
