Ronald Tridico's dream went off the road Friday -- and so did his $400,000 Lamborghini.
Just two days after shelling out a chunk of change, his brand-new yellow sports car flew around a curve on State Road 429 and crashed. The Florida Highway Patrol says Tridico was speeding when he took the curve and lost control. He overcorrected and skidded 1,200 feet before the crash.
The 39-year-old Windermere resident told troopers that another vehicle had cut him off. But judging by the skid marks, authorities didn't believe him.
"Just because you can afford a $400,000 car doesn't mean you know how to drive it," said Sgt. Jorge Delahoz, a Highway Patrol spokesman.

Should have spent a few more bucks on a good driving school.
If he had any brains he wouldn't be spending crazy money on Italian trash anyhow. He could have had a dozen cars beyond his driving skills for that kind of money. I know where he can get an 11 second '57 Fiat 600 if he really likes Italian cars.
In fact I'd like to meet him and his Lambo with said Fiat. Just to see the look on his face as he loses.

If you have $400K to spend on a car, you probably have another $600K to spend, so buy both, though personally I would get a Bugatti.

For chump change, Mr. Tridico could have taken a course at Skip Barber. No sympathy here.
Come to think of it, Lambo probably offers a driving school.

Looks like we read the same car mags. A neighbor is a Porche fanatic. A pickup truck rammed the side of his new Cayman about three weeks ago. He's major pissed-off.
Anyway, I built this British-American car about eight years ago.

Beauty! But (from the picture you posted of yourself yesterday), I am wondering how you actually put it all together. ;-)

Is that a BN7. I must confess to not knowing a lot about Brit cars. What does it have under the bonnet ...I'm almost afraid to ask! :-D
How does your friend like his Cayman? ...I haven't even seen one on the road around here!
And how do you like your Dunlops? I've had them in the past and really liked them ...I may switch to them on the next go 'round.

It's a 1964 Shelby AC 289 FIA Cobra with a 289.
England's AC Motorcars was Shelby's source for the chassis and body for his infamous Cobras.

Truth be known, I was a business/economics major at the Univ. of Denver in the late 1960s; and had to push may through the long hairs to get to class.
I did "inhale" though from time to time.
