Ever want to know what your cat is trying to tell you? By listening to their meow and following the clues of body language it is easy to figure out what your cat is trying to tell you. The pitch, volume and amount of meowing offer the keys to unlocking the message you are being sent. Responding to your cats meows in a consistent way will help your cat know exactly how to tell you things. For starters here are the most common cat meows translated for us human care givers.
One short meow Translated : "Hello", "see me", and "hi" Explanation: A short meow is a just your cat saying "Hi" and making sure you see her.

Thanks! Give me a few... lol. We have some good ones of the gang on this computer, but Blue is a little elusive so I’ll see what I can find.
Elvis, who's real name was Spook, was the king. He ruled the ranch, delegated feline chores, dispensed justice and over saw the chow line pecking order.
With Spook no longer here, Socks has taken over his responsibilities and filled them rather nicely. His aka is "Scruff Muff" due to his overabundance of gray and white fur.
"Mother Stray" was just that. She wandered up to the back porch with two kittens and claimed a spot. Her kids didn't make it, they argued with traffic on the highway and lost but she's still here and we're real proud of her. She's a calico that sparkles
"Blackie" is just blackie. A phantom in the night, a creature that you never see except fleetingly out of the side of your eye, a truly elusive animal.
"Bandit" is all feral, you never get near him or your life is in danger. We took him to the vet once to get shots and warned the Doc to be extremely careful of the guy...sure...Doc: "I know what I'm doing'. When we came back the staff told us that Bandit got out and it took the entire staff 30 minutes to corral the beast with a lot of damage to the examination room plus a lot of leakers on their arms and hands....we were told to "never bring that damn cat in here again" as we drove away laughing our butts off.
Then there's "Louie", our cross dresser who's never really made up his mind what he wants to do with his life.
All the cats are extraordinary hunters and with clock work regularity bring magnificent prizes to the doorstep for accolades and praise. We rarely, if ever, see a mouse even though the barn, stables, garages, and ag sheds would be a perfect home for the little tykes..
Next time I'll tell you about the dogs.
Their favorite is the feather fishing pole but they don't like the pole so I cut off the feather part and they run all over the house with it in their mouths as if they've 'caught' something wonderful. SO SO funny!
And ours are just the opposite. Boys are trim. The girls are wide loads. Well 'cept for Suzy Q and Gwegowee ... they're trim but Gwegowee seems to be making an attempt at catching up to G.G. and Miss Molly Maguire.
You did great!
He’s a cute little guy.
Oh wow. He’s gorgeous! What a snuggle bunny is he!! You’re fortunate to have such a beauty!
Awwww, thank you! I need to hang out on these threads more often :0) I still talk about how lucky I was to have hit the Humane Society that day... Of course, I went for one and left with two. Good thing we have a big house, lol.
I'm sorry :( That is terrible. I can relate to the degree that when my back is maxxed out from work-related pain, that last thing I can handle is a 17-pound mass on me! Even the Alpha Cat who is 17 years old and weighs only about 7 pounds is too much then.
Oh jeeeeez that’s so funny! They should have listened to you about Bandit! Sounds like my Sweetie (who’s not) ... she’d rip a vet to shreds, that’s for sure. We got her from PetSmart and the fella who was working that day was crazy about her and said he named her Sweetie because all she did all day long was purr. mmmhmmm. When I got her home that night I would have sworn on a stack of Bibles that she was demon-possessed! LOL But the fella had said she had been abused and so we gave her the chance to settle down. She fell in love with my son who fell in love with her and the 2 of them bonded. Sweetie is now very affectionate (five years later) but she still will strike out at a moment’s notice and draw blood if she suddenly feels uncomfortable. She’s a terror.
‘abandoned in the desert’ oh gosh! lucky lucky Mogi and his brother that the kids brought them home with them! Poor things. What IS the matter with people!? They ought to be shot. Good for you for giving him a good home. He looks as if he appreciates it!
:o)
Yes well, LOL, they are LIGHTLY salted and kettle cooked and not deep fried!!! LOL LOL
“Feed me you fool!”
fotflol!
Geesh! How many do you have???? LOL!
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Never enough!
Oh my goodness they’re gorgeous! LOL LOL And they like each other, which is always nice.
