Police have identified a person of interest. She is 26-year-old Tonya Smith of Texas. Police say a vehicle was found at the hotel. They traced this vehicle back to Harris County, Texas, and they discovered a murder warrant was attached to the vehicle. Police say Smith is a suspect in that murder warrant.

Smith is described as either a white or hispanic female, 26 years old, 5’9” and about 150 lbs. She has brown hair and hazel eyes. She is believed to have two tattoos: one on her left wrist and another on her back right shoulder. The second tattoo is reported to be of a viking. She was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans and driving a dark green Dodge. If you have any information on this suspect, call Bastrop police or State Police immediately.

At least six law enforcement agencies are on the scene.

Although most "Hispanics" have more or less Spanish, and thus white, ancestry, and some have German too (Germans in Mexico), and the name Smith is not exactly Rodriguez, it's very odd to have a murder warrant out for someone and not know something that basic about them. However Viking tattoo on a Latina would be very strange indeed.

Something a little off here, just like shutting off the phone is a little odd. Well, we'll see soon enough.. I guess.
