The Weekend YouTube Musical Video Thread
myself | 08/10/2007 | myself

I thought I would start this weekend's YouTube video thread with my answers to a "meme" someone sent to me asking for ten music videos from YouTube.

1.) Take On Me by A-Ha

2.) Ni Ten Ichi Ryu - by Photek (Japanese title, Japanese theme, British artist. I've liked this since I saw this as a teenager in the early AM on a show called "Amp" on MTV which featured electronic music. Who can't resist samurai's chasing each other through the snow?)

3.) New Year's Day by U2 (Great track and more snow. Can you tell I like winter more than summer? ;-) )

4.) Found Out About You by the Gin Blossoms (this is from my favorite album of the 90's - it reminds me of more innocent times.)

5.) Grace by Jeff Buckley (One of my top-rated tracks of the 90s.)

6.) Sabotage by the Beastie Boys (this is just plain awesome - one of the best music videos ever!)

7.) You're Not Alone by Olive (more mid-90s electronic music - I fell in love with the singer's voice, not to mention she's very easy on the eyes.)

8.) The Tension and the Terror (live) by Straylight Run (no-frills video)

9.) Runnin' Down a Dream by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (I remember seeing this as a kid. It's still trippy.)

10.) Fade Into You by Mazzy Star (another monochromatic/black & white video. Great song.)

Thanks for the pings!

I watched a movie last night that had a great soundtrack.

Here are a couple tunes from it...

Lou Reed-Rock and Roll

Trouble-Cat Stevens

The video on the Cat Stevens song is worth tuning out.

But it's worth a listen :)
