How about we put the military on the border and let the Mexicans sort out their own domestics issues?

The other goal of the bill was to spend another $80 million to provide economic development assistance to Mexico under the premise that combating Mexican poverty would also combat Mexican drugs. Right, because as we all know, middle class and rich people don't do drugs. Riiiiiight.

And as we also know, the Mexican govt will really use the money to provide economic development that will create a middle class. And monkeys fly.

Building a WALL would be nice too.
But that doesnt’ make any sense, building a wall right down the middle of one big behemoth supernation.

First Mexican trucks threatening our bridges, then Mexican planes heading for our airspace, now U.S. troops crossing the frontier. Sounds serious.

Thanks for the ping.
I don't know what to make of this - so we get to move assets to Mexico - Calderon fell for it?
A really large chess game to be sure though.

From our conversation yesterday, fyi:
H.R. 502 was referred to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The committee press office told WND no hearings on the bill have been scheduled.

I'm still pondering this one.
Yes, it looks like parts of "America's security" thing on its face but there are other reasons I see this as a "diplomatic" show at best and a waste of money at worst.
It seems like Iran, Venezuela and China are forming alliances with Mexico - America must do something to tell these other countries to butt out.
Mexico wants access to America as does Iran, Venezuela and China and America.
I dunno - big chess game - but it looks like "show" to me.

Where ever the military goes a free flow of immigrants follows, so this is just another attempt to bring still more illegals into the country.
If I'm wrong tell me how come we have so many Somalians in this country?

Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas, whose district includes El Paso, has joined Cuellar in urging the Bush administration to allocate up to $850 million over the next five years to help train Mexican law enforcement and military personnel to utilize the advanced military equipment the U.S. is planning to send to Mexico in a drug-related military assistance effort. We have already trained the drug gang, the Zetas. We have pumped money into Mexico to no avail.
Don't worry about this giveaway to Mexico, as Bush, Kennedy,McCain will somehow get H.502 scheduled.

Will our military be escorting the illegal aliens north now? You know, in air conditioned buses with bathrooms and all?
