Need that half billion dollar jackpot! And if you hit it, you still wouldn't be as rich as what John Kerry married.

I like to play, but I’d be really scared if I won, given the track record of those that have.

Now you’re in for it—you’re going to be inundated with the holier-than-thou who will lecture you on the terrible odds and that only idiots play the lottery.
We don’t have powerball in Florida but if we did, I’d sure take a chance on a nice big jackpot. A dream is worth a buck!

I still remember when MegaMillions went to US$364 million--good thing I bought my tickets the day before the draw because every California Lottery terminal was packed with customers the day of the draw. I won US$189 from the draw, though.

The multi-state Mega Million jackpot is also over $100 million tomorrow. Here in NH we have Powerball, and in Mass they have Mega Millions. So it's easy to get tickets for both. I wonder what the odds are of one person winning both jackpots in the same weekend?

If you win I will be more than happy to be your financial advisor.

(and I am in for two bucks)....

Using the old product rule (i.e., you multiply probabilities for independent events), it's 25.7 quadrillion (25,672,854,424,849,631, to be exact) to 1 against.
I hear the typical lotto winner gets lots of death threats. I bet they'd really pour in if anyone won both these jackpots!

It’s funny how every one calls the lottery a tax on the stupid until the jackpot goes up to 100,200,or 300 million. I’m gonna buy a couple bucks worth and enjoy the dream while it lasts. That’s about all expect for my $2 bucks is some excapism for a few days.
