Yes, some pseudogenes that do not conform to the neutral mutation rate, and are therefore conserved based upon the concept of common ancestry, THESE psuedogenes have been found to play a function (confirming once again the predictive power of the theory). Many others are not conserved, change between related lineages is at the expected neutral mutation rate. This data point tends to confirm the link between function and conservation between lineages. Why is there conservation between lineages if not for common descent?

Ah, but you contradict yourself. In your previous post you unequivocally stated that “Neither pseudogenes or ERVs have any function, they both are shown to diverge at the rate expected for neutral mutations. If a pseudogene served a genetic function it would not be pseudo it would be a gene”
You can’t have it both ways. Both can’t be true at the same time. So which is it?
