The author of the quote "A woman's heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her" is UNKNOWN.

The author of the poem, "When I say "I am a Christian," is Carol Wimmer. This was originally published in the Assemblies of God magazine in 1988.

Maya Angelo did NOT pen either of these.

This is from a woman in the choir who apparently feels called to encourage us all. We're wishing she didn't have our email.

So, there's that.

Upon further reflection Angelou is enough of a manhater that I would readily believe she wrote "A woman's heart should be so hidden from a man, that he will never find it. Especially God."
