I sketched out a minor character last nite. She's a gifted IT gal who is a wiz at scripts and little programs. One little program she wrote and uses in the story is a "legend generator", legend being a UK spin on "cover". It generates a first name, last name, city, and occupation based on all sorts of statical weighting to produce a plausible combination. It checks the combo against reality (just to make sure there aren't two James Bonds managing a retail shop in Carlisle...) and if you like the cover, it will set up a myspace/facebook/whatever account backdated by 18 months. Its flaw is that sometimes it comes up with very strange combinations and the MC of this subplot is never really happy with the result. Moderate humor ensues.
