Did you recognize yourself?

It was entirely unintentional, but as I was writing I realized that Mary Ross has an overbearing mother...

Your excerpt is really really good!

Creepy, yes, but really good.

And apparently hens...

;-)
...maybe she could find out that her overbearing mother has breast cancer. I just found that out about my mom. She's going into surgery on Wednesday. That's a double strike against me. My grandmother on my father's side died of it.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. But if they catch everything soon enough, they can do wonderful things through treatments. Keep us posted.

ohfercryinoutloud...

I was just reading back through mine, trying to decide where to go next, and I realized that entirely by accident, I named a minor character “Betty Davis.”

Oh well, editing comes in December.

Right...They did. Caught it very quickly. Get this...I have always been diligent, because of my grandmother that died before I was born. I told my mom a few weeks ago that I was going in for my mammogram and she said "Good idea...I should do that to." And they found it.

I made my minimum word count for the evening. I failed to write a snappy scene, I failed to insert the wit, or political exposition. But I did manage some romantic tension. I’m just going to have to call it good enuf. Hasta manana.

So my oldest little brother is going Army-ROTC. To pay for his electrical engineering degree.

Please send me some contact information, so we can send him a Hobbit Hole pocket knife to inspire him. When he gets his butter bar, we'll send something a bit more substantial.

This is a kid who didn’t get his driver’s license until 18 because he wouldn’t stop making cracks about knocking down old ladies.

He's definitely Infantry material.

Dang, 2J, I'm sorry. I'll pray for her. Hopefully it's pretty early on.

...One of the nurses at work has been out for much of the last year due to chemo and the after effects for breast cancer. Last week they found she has a number of tumors in her brain, as well. The prognosis isn't good at all. So you could be praying for her, too. She's such a sweetheart...everyone is really heartbroken about all this.
