Not really. It’s turned into a lateral instead of an upward diagonal. It’s the right move to make and the right time to make it, but the improvement in salary is literally pennies. I’m really not happy about that part.

Well, hopefully it will be a better situation than you’ve been having but I am sorry about the lack of salary increase. :(

They have all these people saying what their inspiration this year is. Some guy identifying himself as Bobby Lang said his was deranged mutant ninja llamas!
How far have the ninja llamas spread?

Thanks - me, too. We're just hoping it was curious folks who wanted to see inside or maybe huntery folks who needed some kind of shelter (tho, there is the porch). In our minds they would be principled enough even though they broke in to take a look but leave things be. The alternative is local yokels making a statement about "development" like what continues to happen in our neighborhood here in MD. We get vandals who damage mail boxes and spray paint silly "save the earth" messages everywhere because they didn't want the development built.

The tax situation in MD is about to go supernova, so I’d recommend skipping this state and looking at PA. NJ is a pit for the most part. And Delaware is boooooring.

Well, I'm only halfway series. I'm not really looking that way anyway.

I'm still hoping that something more permanent and lucrative would open up with Mrs.' company. If it does, she'd double what I'm currently pulling in and have the benefits to boot. I'd seriously consider "retiring" and staying home to write and homeschool Luke.

But I'm trying not to get my hopes up for that.

Back at the hospital. Gonna print out some emails to show Mrnad, and take a laptop upstairs with me.

He is doing great...a little too great...he got in trouble because he got up out of bed to brush his teeth, again to go to the bathroom, again to get his regular clothes to get dressed, again to help the guy in the next bed get something to drink. Finally the nurse told him he had to stay in bed unless someone was there to walk with him. :-)

We are so blessed. I feel like God has been so good to us...so many continue to pray and we are so thankful for that. So many are hurting here...I pray that Mrnad and I can somehow bring comfort to the downcast and that the love of God will flow through us so that the world might know.

Yeah, I hand wrote pretty much everything last year. I can think better on paper, and a lot of the time I may cross out a paragraph and then reuse it later in some form...not possible if I done deleted it. So far, the typewriter seems to be the best of both worlds: I have my instant hard copy and my false starts and margin scribbles and all, but with the added benefit of speed and [better] legibility. I could do OCR, but I like going over the thing with pen and adding notes, and I kind of like the quick bit of editing I can do when transcribing. Not in the NaNo spirit, perhaps, but a lot of times I end up with more words after transcribing anyhow.

I don’t think I could get away with bringing in a typewriter for lunchtime writing, though. Or bringing it to write-ins.
